Sleep and travel data is personal. Here is how JetShift handles yours.

The short version

JetShift runs on your device. Your data stays with you. We do not track, sell, or share your information. No account is required. If you enable optional cloud backup, your data is encrypted before it leaves your device.

What we collect

JetShift needs certain information to generate your circadian adjustment schedule. All of this data is stored locally on your device by default.

  • Flight itineraries you enter (departure city, arrival city, times)
  • Your typical sleep schedule (bedtime and wake time)
  • Your time zone and preferred adjustment speed
  • Any constraints you set (work hours, meals, etc.)

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identifier unless you choose to create an account for cloud backup.

What we do not collect

  • Your precise GPS location. We ask for time zone, not coordinates.
  • Your contacts or address book.
  • Your browsing history or app usage on other apps.
  • Biometric data like fingerprints or face scans.
  • Health data from other apps or devices.

No advertising, no tracking

JetShift does not include any advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, or third-party data brokers. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not build profiles about you.

We use basic crash reporting to fix bugs. Crash reports include device type and operating system version, but not your sleep data or flight history.

Encryption

Your data is encrypted at rest on your device using the security features built into iOS and Android.

If you enable cloud backup, your data is encrypted on your device before being transmitted. We use end-to-end encryption, which means even we cannot read your backups. The encryption key is derived from your account password and never leaves your device.

All network connections use TLS 1.3 encryption.

Your rights

Export your data You can export all your data at any time in a readable format from the app settings.
Delete your data You can delete all your data from the app at any time. If you have cloud backup enabled, you can also delete your cloud data from settings.
No lock-in You can uninstall JetShift at any time. Your local data is deleted with the app. Cloud backups remain until you delete them.

Children

JetShift is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Changes to this policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update this page and note the date of the last revision. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
